One of the most vibrant parts of the city, the North End is nestled against the Beautiful Boise Foothills.
Camel’s Back Park, Hulls Gultch, and the Military Reserve are just a few of the most popular areas to hike, run, mountain bike, or just take a walk and view the beauty of Boise. Trails are open year round, and well maintained. Harrison Blvd and Warm Springs Ave are both historic streets in the North End, featuring some of the first homes built in Boise. Hyde Park is one of the most popular non-downtown urban areas, featuring award-winning ice creameries, pubs, and restaurants. Esther Simplot Park, Quinn’s Pond, and Whitewater Park are all newly renovated areas of town to spend an afternoon paddleboarding, kayaking, rafting, or just enjoying a picnic with the family. There’s always something happening in the North End, such as street markets (like the Saturday Farmer’s Market) and art festivals (like Hyde Park Street Fair or Treefort Music Festival). The North End of Boise is the most historic part of the city, and frequented by many from all over the valley.
